Zhu Xin is filled with a sense of powerlessness towards his current life, and he wants to rediscover the Hangzhou of the past. At the foot of Fenghuang Mountain, just across the river from his doorstep, there seems to be an entrance. A thousand years ago, Su Shi wrote a Ci poem called Jiang Cheng Zi.
Ci, originally songs, between which the rhythm is like a call to hometown.Zhu Xin follows a Cantopop lyricist Siu Hak, from Hong Kong, and tries to recreate the sound and the scene of the Ci. From Hangzhou to Hong Kong, the search turns out to be a more personal journey for Zhu Xin, as he explores the lost past, and the distance between him and Hangzhou, Siu Hak and Hong Kong.
It is not just a documentary, but more of a dramatic reconstruction of the creator himself and the historical void.
