As a small factory owner on the verge of bankruptcy, Yaoling Wang discovers a heroic dream in his weary life in music. Without any talent, he went around to learn from teachers, but was met with ridicule and humiliation. He was so stubborn that he had a crazy idea to start a solo concert.
As the factory was unsustainable, Yaoling Wang went around asking for money but got very little. He took out loans from banks, borrowed money from neighbours, sold his car and house, and borrowed from loan sharks ......, yet the hole became bigger and bigger. Even so, he insisted on organising concerts, going to the streets and subways to sell songs, asking for donations from his hometown, and even with the help of a group of unreliable friends, trying to realize his dream by saying goodbye to the singing world in an almost tragic way.
After four years, the concert did not take place, but he went bankrupt. Due to the illegal raising of tens of millions of yuan, he committed himself and was imprisoned.
The man who passionately pursued his dream eventually lost everything.
