Our story is about Alzheimer's disease, composed of two intertwined narratives centering on love and performance.

In the story set in Shenyang, Liu Shuren' s mother suffers from Alzheimer' s. Her memory is stuck in the years she spent with her spouse, and she endlessly waits and looks for her long-dead husband. To calm her, Liu Shuren reluctantly steps into the role of his father. He resisted at the beginning and played the part only half-heartedly. But through day-to-day care, he slowly embraces this role, and makes a promise to keep performing for her.

In Dongying, Shandong, a daughter created an "AI Mom" to soothe her father living with Alzheimer' s disease, who kept searching for his late wife under the scorching sun. At first, the virtual figure temporarily eased the old man' s grief. Yet as time went by, the father gradually noticed inconsistencies.
