Introduction:

LI hai, a filmmaker and motorcycle enthusiast, falls victim to a scam while attempting to purchase a second-hand dirt bike through an online marketplace. The suspect, Yaozai, is a teenage boy who spends his days roaming the streets with his friends, performing wheelies and riding recklessly through the city.

LI hai travels to Guangzhou to track down Yaozai and recover his motorcycle. But during his search, he receives an unexpected notice from the police: the case has been closed. Yaozai has died in an accident.

LI hai contacts the motorcycle manufacturer and obtains the vehicle's complete GPS location history. Following these coordinates, he retraces the places Yaozai once visited. Posing as a friend of the deceased boy, he approaches Yaozai's father and friends, attempting to piece together the final traces of a life he never knew.

As the investigation unfolds, LI hai encounters more and more teenagers whose lives resemble Yaozai's, gradually forming friendships with them. What begins as a search for a stolen motorcycle transforms into a journey to uncover the life of a dead boy—and an intimate portrait of a generation of young people living on the margins of the city.
