At the end of 2021, a hospital located in the far suburbs of Beijing—a facility with a track record of successfully treating many patients with bone cancer—officially opened its doors. Seeking treatment, patients from all over the country began to flock to the village situated directly across from the hospital. Everyone here refers to one another simply as "fellow patients." It is estimated that the number of patients and their family members living in the village remains consistently around 2,000, occasionally peaking at over 3,000. In 2025, I, too, moved into this village to live alongside these fellow patients. Naturally, I turned my camera toward them—my friends.

Here, everyone's life has undergone an unprecedented transformation... and it seems that includes me as well. changes—and it seemed that included mine, too.
