Introduction:

In the spring of 1948, Anĝelo faced the impending birth of her seventh child in solitude, as her husband Ahmed was absent, occupied with arrangements for his departure abroad. During her pregnancy, Anĝelo unexpectedly discovered a cache of intimate letters exchanged between Ahmed and another woman, plunging her into a storm of intertwined love and anguish, with her diary becoming her only sanctuary. Over seventy years later, these weathered, yellowed diary pages resurfaced, stirring our family's daily life. As the film draws to a close, an undated letter from Ahmed reveals his true feelings and attitude towards marriage. This film presents “home” as a setting that is both commonplace and extraordinary, weaving a dialogue between history and modernity, and exploring and reflecting on the essence and significance of love, family, and marriage.
