I was born in Huainan, a coal city in China. When I was young, my mother left me to work because of the economic crisis in my hometown. In 2014, my hometown suffered from economic reforms again. Because of my childhood experience, I went back to Huainan to shoot the miners including my father, my godmother and my friends to record the story of the coal mines.
